Webclass New Generation

Feedback methods
The Webclass New Generation project intends to further develop the Webclass course, which was launched in 2000 - 2004 with the support of the Filep fund. The rich experiences gained and the knowledge accrued in various evaluations of Webclass will be used systematically to verifiably improve the quality of teaching.

Abstract

The advantages of Webclass will be retained as far as possible, and the disadvantages targeted. Four measures are planned: a restructuring of Webclass from the functionally equivalent modules so far to successive modules (1), an increase in the number of presence sessions (2), strengthened online supervison of students (3), and targeted activation of students (4). The pedagogical concept, the teaching materials and the technological media deployed should be aligned with one another, and thoroughly revised or re-designed. This requires extraordinary efforts which the Chair of the History of Technology cannot conduct with its ordinary means, in particular because teaching during the transition to Webclass New Generation will continue as usual.
